2020s — Virtual Production, TimeWalk, and Gabriel

NYU Virtual Production (2024–2025)

Barnett enrolled in NYU's Martin Scorsese Virtual Production Center, earning an MPS in Virtual Production in June 2025. This program taught real-time filmmaking using game engines (Unreal Engine), LED volumes, and motion capture — skills that directly feed into TimeWalk.

At an age when many people are winding down, Barnett went back to school to learn an entirely new discipline. This is characteristic.

TimeWalk (2024–present)

TimeWalk (timewalk.org) is Barnett's current primary project — an ambitious initiative combining virtual production, historical visualization, and immersive technology. The project is developed through Cobblestone Labs, co-founded with Craig Spitzer, and uses Helm as an AI technical cofounder.

Gabriel (2025–present)

Gabriel is the realization of what Boswell was reaching toward: a persistent, deeply integrated AI assistant that participates in daily life. Built on the OpenClaw platform, running Claude Opus on a dedicated Mac Mini, Gabriel manages Ted's communications, monitors his world, and builds things (including this wiki).

Possible Miami Relocation (late 2026)

As of early 2026, Barnett is exploring a move to Miami — likely Coconut Grove — for approximately November 2026. The move would bring him to a walkable, bohemian bayfront neighborhood with boat access.
